On 7 October 2016 the Legal Counsel, Mr Kensuke Kobayashi, attended a commemorative ceremony on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS). The event took place in Hamburg City Hall and included key note addresses from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of ITLOS.
