Agia Zoni II – Claims Department on site

During the week of 4 December, Liliana Monsalve, Head of the Claims Department, and Mark Homan, Claims Manager, travelled to Piraeus, Greece. They spent some time in the newly opened Agia Zoni II Claims Submission Office to review the claims submission and management processes. Although clean-up operations are nearing completion, they visited a couple of affected sites on Salamina Island to monitor the progress of the shoreline clean-up in consultation with the Funds’ experts on site. They also met with the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research and the Ministry of Environment to discuss the proposed environmental monitoring plan and had meetings with the IOPC Funds’ experts and lawyers based in Greece.
