Annual IUMI Conference, Tokyo, Japan

The Director, Mr José Maura, and the Legal Counsel, Mr Kensuke Kobayashi, attended the Annual Conference of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) in Tokyo, Japan which ran from 17 to 20 September 2017. The event was hosted by the General Insurance Association of Japan (GIAJ) which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the GIAJ.
The Director and Mr Kobayashi attended a number of sessions of interest during the conference and participated in a workshop on legal and liability issues, during which the Director joined a panel discussion entitled ‘Limitation of liability – ships are different – or are they?”.
