In-house visit by students from the University of Deusto, Spain.

On 10 May 2017, the IOPC Funds were pleased to welcome 30 postgraduate students on the Port and Maritime Business Management and Maritime Law Masters programme from the University of Deusto, Spain.
The Director gave a presentation on the role of the Secretariat and a general overview of the international liability and compensation regime, including an update on recent developments, followed by a question and answer session. The students were then given a tour of the International Maritime Organization and visited the exhibition to mark 50 years of government and industry working together to address the risk of oil pollution from ships.
