Incident in Singapore

The IOPC Funds is aware of the oil pollution incident currently affecting Singapore. On 14 June 2024, the Netherlands-flagged dredging ship Vox Maxima struck a stationary Singapore-flagged bunker vessel Marine Honour at Pasir Panjang shipping terminal, resulting in an oil spill from one of the latter’s cargo tanks. 

Singapore is a 1992 Fund Member State, and the IOPC Funds will work with the Member State and other stakeholders responding to the incident.  

The IOPC Funds will provide further details as they become available.
