The Director is pleased to announce that the 2017 IOPC Funds’ Short Course will take place from Monday 26 June to Friday 30 June at the Funds’ headquarters in London. The course programme will cover all aspects of the work of the IOPC Funds and the international liability and compensation regime in general and will include practical exercises which allow participants to study a theoretical incident and the subsequent claims submission process. The course is supported by IMO, INTERTANKO, ICS, the International Group of P&I Associations and ITOPF.
The Short Course is open to a maximum of 10 self-funded participants from 1992 Fund Member States and the selection process is now open. The Director encourages all interested parties to submit official nominations as soon as possible to allow sufficient time for the selected candidates to make their travel and accommodation arrangements. The deadline for receiving applications is 14 April 2017.
Further details, including the nomination form and course programme, can be found in Circular: IOPC/2017/Circ.2.
