IOPC Funds successfully delivers the 7th event in its webinar series

The IOPC Funds delivered the seventh event in its webinar series, entitled “Successful Recovery of Costs for Clean-up and Property Damage”, under the Module on “Claims for Compensation”, on 12 June 2024.

Senior Claims Manager, Chiara DellaMea, led a 15-minute presentation that covered the key principles regarding the submission of claims following an oil pollution incident. She detailed the claims-handling process and the types of claims that can be submitted in relation to recovering costs for clean-up and property damage arising out of an incident. Her presentation also stressed the need for claimants to adhere to the admissibility criteria applied by the IOPC Funds, the importance of good record-keeping, and the need for claimants to submit the appropriate documentation.

The event was delivered twice to provide flexibility to participants from different time zones to attend, and Ms DellaMea addressed a wide range of questions at the end of each session.

The IOPC Funds’ webinar series has been well-received since its inception and is open to any interested party, with the option for participants attend either the full series or only those webinars of particular interest to them.
