National Workshop in Indonesia

The IOPC Funds took part in a national workshop on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) civil liability conventions in Bali, Indonesia, from 18 to ­21 September 2018. Hosted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, and organised and funded by IMO’s Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP), the workshop saw the IOPC Funds’ Legal Counsel, Kensuke Kobayashi, join representatives from IMO and the International Group of P&I Associations, to deliver presentations and join discussion sessions on the international liability and compensation regime for tanker spills, the role of the IOPC Funds and the 2010 HNS Convention.
