The Director is pleased to announce that the next meeting of the IOPC Funds governing bodies is set to take place in person at the IMO Headquarters building in London, the week commencing 24 October 2022.

This will be the first meeting to be held in person since the COVID-19 pandemic and the refurbishment of the IMO meeting facilities, which required five meetings of the governing bodies to be held remotely between December 2020 and March 2022.  Given that the UK Government lifted all COVID-19 restrictions in February 2022, and the refurbishment of IMO meeting facilities is largely completed, the IOPC Funds now look forward to being able to return to their usual practice of bringing together Member States and States and organisations holding observer status in the main IMO conference hall in London.

This will provide a welcome opportunity for delegations to engage in meaningful discussions once again and re-establish connections with other representatives and the Secretariat.

A circular containing the invitation and provisional agenda will be issued nearer the time.
