The invitation and agenda have now been issued for the next sessions of the IOPC Funds governing bodies, which will be held in person at the IMO Headquarters building from 25 to 28 October 2022 (IOPC/2022/Circ.4).

This meeting will be the first fully in person meeting since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and refurbishment of the IMO meeting room facilities, which required five meetings of the governing bodies to be held remotely. The IOPC Funds now look forward to being able to return to their usual practice of bringing together Member States and States and organisations holding observer status in the main IMO conference hall in London.

An induction course will be held on Monday, 24 October 2022, which will be open to all interested delegates, however, the course is designed for those who are new to the IOPC Funds or have little prior knowledge of the organisations.  Further information about how to register for this course will be circulated nearer the time.

Delegates may also wish to attend the workshop on the 2010 HNS Convention which is scheduled to take place on Monday, 31 October and Tuesday, 1 November, the format of which will be confirmed in due course. The workshop has been organised by the esteemed delegation of Canada in cooperation with the IOPC Funds and IMO. The preliminary agenda for the workshop has been circulated in document IOPC/MAR22/5/1/1 and delegates will be notified on how to register to participate at a later date.

All meeting documents are made available via the Document Services section, and registered users will receive notifications as new documents are published.

In order to ensure that the IOPC Funds have the correct contact details for the Heads of Delegations, delegates are urged to inform the Secretariat of any updates or changes to their delegations by emailing conference@iopcfunds.org.

General information regarding the meeting and the role and composition of each governing body is available here.
