Oil Spill Symposium 2012, Tokyo, Japan

In March 2012, the Legal Counsel, Mrs Akiko Yoshida, participated, along with other experts from various international organisations and government authorities, at the Oil Spill Symposium 2012 held by the Petroleum Association of Japan (PAJ) in Tokyo. Mrs Yoshida gave a presentation which included a general overview of the international oil pollution compensation regime.
The Symposium was attended by some 200 representatives, mainly from the oil industry and the relevant government authorities.
