Online Seminar on the HNS Convention with the Universidad del Salvador de Argentina

The IOPC Funds were invited by the Universidad del Salvador de Argentina, to participate in an online seminar on 4 March 2021 on the 2010 HNS Convention for a number of Latin American universities.

The Director and the Head of Claims delivered presentations explaining the legal framework behind the Convention, international progress towards its entry into force and how the HNS Fund would work in practice.  They joined the Universidad del Salvador and other stakeholders, including the Comité Maritime International (CMI) and the Iberoamerican Maritime Law Institute (IIDM), to discuss the importance of the HNS Convention and answered questions from the audience, which consisted of some 130 attendees from the 12 participating universities.
