Online workshop for the Maritime Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam

On 6 March 2023, the IOPC Funds was delighted to present an online workshop to the Maritime Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam.

Senior Claims Manager, Chiara Della Mea, provided an overview of the role of the IOPC Funds, how it is financed and the claims covered under the international liability and compensation regime. Claims Manager, Mark Homan, then gave a general explanation of the 2010 HNS Convention, its application and the importance of a consistent and efficient reporting system for contributing cargo under the Convention. He also referred to the latest developments in that regard. Both presenters answered questions on their respective presentations.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the IOPC Funds and the State of Brunei Darussalam.
