Preliminary information on the November 2020 meeting of the IOPC Funds’ governing bodies

Preliminary information on the 2020 meeting of the IOPC Funds’ governing bodies, which is provisionally scheduled to take place during the week commencing 2 November 2020, has now been issued.

The following sessions are set to take place:

• the 25th session of the 1992 Fund Assembly;
• the 74th session of the 1992 Fund Executive Committee; and
• the 17th session of the Supplementary Fund Assembly.

However, since a number of IMO meetings were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 IMO meeting schedule is in the process of being reconstructed and the dates and exact timing of the IOPC Funds meeting will be reconfirmed once IMO meetings have been rescheduled.

Therefore, the Director is  unable to issue the circular containing the Invitation and Agenda to the meeting at this stage.  However, it will be provided no later than 3 September 2020 and will contain details on the format of the meeting (i.e. whether the meeting will be run as an entirely virtual meeting or whether some delegations will be present in the conference room).

In the meantime, the Director has announced in circular IOPC/2020/Circ.9, that the Secretariat will now start issuing documents, including a provisional agenda, which is expected to cover all the items that were due to be considered by the governing bodies in 2020.  Delegates can access and download those meeting documents online via the Documents Services section of the website.
