Regional seminar on environmental protection and the international liability and compensation regime

The IOPC Funds participated in a regional seminar on environmental protection and the international liability and compensation regime for representatives from the maritime authorities of Peru, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The seminar, which took place from 8 to 9 May 2017, was organised by P&I correspondents in close cooperation with the Argentine Coast Guard. The seminar saw IOPC Funds’ Head of Claims Department, Ms Liliana Monsalve, give several presentations alongside the International Group of P&I Associations, ITOPF and other industry stakeholders, and was followed by a one-day national workshop for the benefit of the Argentine Coast Guard.
