REMPEC Regional Meeting of National Experts on the Post-2021 Mediterranean Strategy for Prevention of and Response to Marine Pollution from Ships

Claims manager, Chiara Della Mea, participated in the Regional Meeting of National Experts on the Mediterranean Strategy for the Prevention of, and Response to Marine Pollution from Ships (2022-2031), which was held remotely on 10 March 2021.

The meeting was organised by the Regional Marine Pollution Emergency Response Centre for the Mediterranean Sea (REMPEC) and its main objectives were to examine the second draft Strategy and REMPEC’s Action Plan and to discuss and consider a number of recommendations in that regard. Any decisions taken and conclusions of this meeting of experts will be presented to the meeting of the REMPEC focal points in May 2021.

The event was well attended by government officials from the contracting parties to the Barcelona Convention, as well as observers from relevant regional and international organisations and industry representatives.
