Visit by the delegation of Brunei Darussalam

The Director was delighted to welcome representatives from the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam to the IOPC Funds’ offices on 2 November 2022.  The Deputy Chief Executive, Mr Mohammed Bahreen bin Dato Haji Hamzah, had represented Brunei Darussalam, a 1992 Fund Member State, at the recent meeting of the IOPC Funds’ governing bodies.

The Director shared recent developments and activities of the organisation and was pleased to learn about the delegation’s plans to strengthen engagement with both the International Maritime Organization and the IOPC Funds as nationally the State looks to further develop its maritime industry.   They also discussed the State’s participation in the upcoming regional workshop in  Singapore, which the IOPC Funds was contributing to, as well as the possibility of further online training courses.
