Visit by the new OSRL CEO

On 30 March 2023, the Director, Gaute Sivertsen, was delighted to welcome the outgoing CEO of Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL), Mr Robert Limb, and the new CEO, Ms Vania De Stefani (as of 1 April 2023), to the IOPC Funds’ offices. The meeting was also attended by Mr Thomas Liebert, the Head of the External Relations Department.

During the meeting, the Director discussed the current work of the IOPC Funds, and the ongoing and future issues relating to oil spill response and preparedness were also explained. The Director expressed his appreciation of the excellent cooperation between the IOPC Funds and OSRL and wished Ms De Stefani well in her new position. He also took the opportunity to recognise the work of the outgoing CEO, Mr Robert Limb.

OSRL are a provider of oil spill response services, who work with industry, government, and non-governmental organisations.  They have been involved in a number of IOPC Funds’ incidents and have collaborated on several projects with the Secretariat over the years, including training activities, guidance documents and the European oil spill conference, Interspill, which is held every three years.
