ADRIASPILLCON 2019

The IOPC Funds participated in the 4th Adriatic Spill Conference and Exhibition, ADRIASPILLCON 2019, which took place in Opatija, Croatia, from 28 to 30 May 2019. Organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia and in cooperation with the Adriatic Training and Research Centre for Accidental Marine Pollution Preparedness and Response (ATRAC), the event attracted a variety of national, regional and international representatives from Government, oil, chemical and shipping industries, the academic community, experts, specialised companies and equipment manufacturers. Information Officer, Victoria Turner, delivered a presentation on compensation for HNS incidents and Claims Administrator, Ana Cuesta, chaired a session and presented on recent developments in the international liability and compensation regime. The IOPC Funds also had a stand within the exhibition space at the event, meeting with other participants, providing information about the role of the organisation, answering questions and distributing the latest IOPC Funds’ publications.
