Developments in the MT Pavit incident – Head of the Claims Department visits Mumbai, India

Following the 1992 Fund Executive Committee’s October 2016 decision that the 1992 Civil Liability Convention applies to the MT Pavit incident, the Head of the Claims Department, Ms Liliana Monsalve and a Director of the West of England Club travelled to Mumbai, India from 7–8 March 2017 for a number of meetings. During their visit Ms Monsalve and the Club representative met with the claimant and with the Indian authorities.
The latest developments in the incident will be reported to the 1992 Fund Executive Committee at its next session, to be held from 24–28 April 2017. A document on the incident is available via the Document Services section.
