Hebei Spirit: Meeting with the Government of Republic of Korea and the insurers of the ship

On 19 October 2016, the Director of the IOPC Funds hosted a lunch meeting for the representatives of the delegation of Republic of Korea, the International Group, the Skuld P&I Club and the chairmen of the 1992 Fund Assembly and Supplementary Fund Assembly.
During the meeting, the Hebei Spirit incident was discussed. The Director also took the opportunity to thank the delegation from the Republic of Korea for its assistance and excellent cooperation it has provided to the 1992 Fund in dealing with this incident, which is the largest in the history of the IOPC Funds in terms of number of claims submitted.
