IOPC Funds and PERSGA Publish most recent edition of Fisheries Claims Guidelines in Arabic

The IOPC Funds, in collaboration with the Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden (PERSGA), has produced the Arabic version of the revised Guidelines for Presenting Claims in the Fisheries, Mariculture and Fish Processing Sector.

First published in 2014, the Guidelines were amended by the 1992 Fund Administrative Council, acting on behalf of the 1992 Fund Assembly, in April 2018. A new edition was subsequently released in 2019 in English, French and Spanish.

The publication provides guidance on the actions to be taken following an oil spill and the information required to submit a claim for compensation. It is designed to assist those involved in catching, farming and processing seafood.

The new Arabic edition of the Guidelines, together with related publications in Chinese and Russian, is available in the Other Publications section of the IOPC Funds’ website.

The IOPC Funds’ publications are usually produced in the official working languages of the Organisation, namely English, French and Spanish. However, from time to time, the Secretariat collaborates with Member States and other organisations to produce key publications in additional languages
