The International Maritime Organization has informed the Director that Côte d’Ivoire deposited an instrument of ratification to the 1992 Fund Convention on 8 July 2013. The Convention will enter into force for the State on 8 July 2014. Côte d’Ivoire was a member of the 1971 Fund from 1988-2002 and has continued to follow the work of the IOPC Funds since the 1971 Fund Convention ceased to be in force, attending meetings of the governing bodies in recent years.
IMO also informed the Director that Slovakia deposited an instrument of ratification to the 1992 Fund Convention and an instrument of accession to the Supplementary Fund Protocol on 8 July 2013. The Convention and Protocol will both enter into force for Slovakia on 8 July 2014, bringing the number of 1992 Fund Member States to 113 and Supplementary Fund Member States to 30.
