Visit by participants of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association maritime trainee programme

Participants of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association maritime trainee programme visited the IOPC Funds on 29 November 2023.

Participants of the programme combine work experience at an industry-leading maritime company with an academic programme, which includes a visit to London and other key maritime locations.

IOPC Funds’ Director, Gaute Sivertsen, delivered a presentation on the role of the organisation and the international liability and compensation regime in general.  He spoke about the current incidents involving the IOPC Funds, the challenges currently facing the organisation and the IOPC Funds’ role in preparing for the entry force of the 2010 HNS Convention.
