Visit to Gard Club

On 17 December 2018, the Director, José Maura and Head of Claims Department, Liliana Monsalve, visited the headquarters of the Gard P&I Club in Arendal, Norway. They gave a presentation on the international liability and compensation regime for oil pollution and shared their experience on the handling of large spills, with particular focus on the emergency process in response to incidents. Their visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the management of future incidents involving the Club and the Funds.
