Claims Department

The Claims Department comprises the Deputy Director/Head of the Department, a Senior Claims Manager, two Claims Managers and a Claims Administrator.

The Department is responsible for the management of claims assessments and payments resulting from oil pollution incidents. The Department is also responsible for providing accurate and detailed information on incidents involving the IOPC Funds to the governing bodies and other interested parties. Members of the department regularly participate in or conduct claims and compensation workshops and seminars worldwide, where they promote the understanding of established claims processing policies, rules and procedures as well as the 1992 Civil Liability and Fund Conventions.
