Webinar for Canadian Fund for railway accidents

On 6 October 2017, the Head of Claims Department, Ms Liliana Monsalve, participated in a webinar organised by the Fund for Railway Accidents Involving Designated Goods (FRAIDG), a sister-fund to the Ship-source Oil Pollution Fund, based in Canada. Ms Monsalve presented on the tiered compensation system established under the 1992 Civil Liability and Fund Conventions and shared the lessons learned over the years by the IOPC Funds through its handling of compensation for a large number of claims from major spills.
